The Spirit of Childhood
What a lofty title to this post – I can’t take credit for it. I totally stole it from the quote stamp that I used on this card.
I made this card to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge – my first time doing that one. I just happened to see this sketch in my travels and loved it, so I got to work.
This was one of those very nice and rare times when things come together well – leaving the quote stamp as the center of the card made everything really easy. And that paper – how I love that paper! This is from The Paper Company and was way, way too expensive, but I had to have it nonetheless. With paper like this in the background, you can really keep things simple and forego a lot of embellishments. This paper is double-sided, and I used the plain gold side for the bottom layer and for the quote stamp. I really like working with golds and browns – they seem so soothing.
And here is a closer look at the quote (along with a closer look at the metallic paper):
Have a great weekend, everyone!
