Ahh! September in Massachusetts – it’s a beautiful thing! I’m back today on a gorgeous day with a birthday card to share with you.

For this one, I used a designer paper that I have been hoarding for months. I absolutely love this paper, but the trouble is, of course, it’s no longer around. It’s made by Colorbok and sadly, it has disappeared from Michaels. Such a shame! I finally worked up my nerve and cut into for this card. I think it was worth it, because I like the way this one turned out.

I didn’t want this card to be overly blingy, but still, I just couldn’t help pulling out my beloved Sakura Jelly Roll pen. I added a little glitz to the sentiment, and to the flowers on the designer paper.

What I Used:

Paper: Stampin’ Up! Orchid Opulence & Almost Amethyst card stock; Tracy Porter for Colorbok designer paper

Stamp: Inkadinkado

Ink: Stampin’ Up! Orchid Opulence

Accessories: Cuttlebug: Birds & Vines embossing folder and border embossing folder from With Love set, & Vintage Corner die; Stampin’ Up! silver hodgepodge hardware; Prima flowers; Robin’s Nest Dew Drops; dimensionals; Sakura Jelly Roll pen in clear.

Julie…OME This card is just gorgeous…I LOVE that paper…It is so sad when they discontinue a dp that you have fallen in love with…It’s like loosing an old friend..lol! Beautiful work Honey…as always you inspire….Xx
